General overview on Gain

  1. What is Gain by Kelp?
Kelp Gain is our latest product offering, designed to optimize rewards and airdrops for restakers, and DeFi users. It consists of multiple smart contract-driven vaults that automate reward farming strategies across high-quality opportunities.
  2. How does Gain work?
Kelp Gain is built on a collection of vaults powered by smart contracts. These vaults automate the process of earning rewards and airdrops, allowing you to deposit assets and gain access to strategies designed to optimize returns. Importantly, Kelp’s vaults are non-custodial, allowing you to maintain control over your assets with the flexibility to withdraw at any time.

More about Airdrop Gain

  1. What is Airdrop Gain?
Airdrop Gain is a vault within Kelp Gain that helps users maximize airdrop opportunities by combining Layer 2 (L2) strategies with access to mainnet DeFi protocols. The vault gives users a receipt token that can be utilized to further enhance yields with DeFi.
  2. How does Airdrop Gain work?
    -
Asset deposit: Deposit ETH, stETH, ETHx, or rsETH into the vault.
    - Issuance of agETH: Upon depositing, the vault issues agETH, a liquid token representing your position in the vault.
    - Bridging for airdrop opportunities: Assets are bridged to partner L2 networks, making them eligible for various airdrop opportunities.
    - Deploy to DeFi: agETH can be deployed into DeFi protocols like Pendle on the mainnet for additional reward opportunities.
  3. Which L2s and restaking protocols are supported in Airdrop Gain?
At launch, Airdrop Gain supports several L2 networks and restaking protocols, including:
    - Linea
    - Scroll
    - Karak
    - EigenLayer
We’re continually working on evaluating and expanding this list of protocols and strategies.
  4. What can I do with agETH?
Very soon, agETH can be utilized in DeFi opportunities on mainnet as well as partner L2 core markets. For instance, PT and YT strategies on Pendle can be expected shortly. We’ll share updates as soon as more functionalities go live.
  5. What rewards can I earn through Airdrop Gain?
By participating in Airdrop Gain, you can currently get the following rewards. This list will be dynamically updated and new information will be proactively shared on our Twitter page.
    - Restaking incentives: 3x Karak XP, 1x EigenLayer Points, 3x Kelp Miles
    - L2 rewards: 15% extra LXP-L boost, Top-tier Scroll Marks
    - Infra incentives: 3x points
    - DeFi rewards coming soon!

User benefits and fees

  1. What are the benefits of using Airdrop Gain?
    - Maximized airdrops
: Earn multiple airdrops simultaneously across various L2 networks.
    - Liquid token utility: agETH enables further DeFi access across platforms like Pendle, Spectra, and Lyra.
    - One-click deployment: Streamline your asset deployment with significant gas savings.
  2. Is there a fee associated with using Gain?
Yes, a 2% platform fee is charged per annum for vault management. The fees are split between Kelp, Vault Strategist and Infra provider.
  3. How can I track the performance of my deposits?
You can monitor the performance of your deposits directly through the Airdrop Gain interface, where real-time data on rewards, airdrops, and overall asset growth will be available.

Technical details and functionality

  1. What assets are supported in the Airdrop Gain vault?
Airdrop Gain currently supports ETH and ETH derivatives, such as Kelp’s LRT rsETH, Stader Labs’ LST ETHx and Lido Finance’s LST stETH.
  2. What happens when I deposit rsETH? How does redemption work?
When you deposit rsETH, the vault issues agETH. If you choose to redeem, you can receive rsETH in return. The redemption process typically takes 2–3 days. Afterward, you can either unstake the rsETH or sell it on decentralised exchanges (DEXs).
  3. How do rebalancing and adjustments work within Airdrop Gain?
Gain vaults automatically rebalance and adjust their positions to optimise airdrop and reward farming opportunities, ensuring your assets are always deployed efficiently.
