With restaking, one of the major incentives for a restaker is the additional yield on restaked ETH. Kelp Miles are designed to be complementary to EigenLayer restaked points and offer an additional layer of incentives to restakers.

Kelp Miles are meant to make the process of restaking even more rewarding, and to offer restakers incentives proportionate to their restaking contribution.

With the EigenLayer Early Queue on Kelp, restakers receive two-fold benefits:

  • No need to wait until the EigenLayer deposit caps lift on December 18th
  • Double the rewards with both EigenLayer Restaked Points and Kelp Miles

Restakers who participate in the Early Queue with $rsETH and restake $stETH and $ETHx with Kelp get boosted Kelp Miles for 90 days. These boosted Miles amount to 1.25x the regular Kelp Miles.

The following infographic indicates how Boosted Kelp Miles will play out.

When you restake with Kelp during the early queue and do not withdraw well after the 90 day boost period is over, you stand to get Blended Kelp Miles (Boosted + Regular) proportional to the duration of your stake.

If you restake your LSTs with Kelp after 18th December, you still stand to get dual rewards with EigenLayer Restaked Points and Kelp Miles. However, you will get rewarded with Regular Kelp Miles as indicated below.

Irrespective of when or how much you restake with Kelp, you stand to get dual rewards in every scenario. The earlier you join, the more rewards you stand to get!
